Czech Open 2011 – An Incredible Team with Chinese Player
Resting for tournaments for nearly three months, I start the second half year of tournaments in early September. I chose Czech Open to start as it was close to another tournament to be held in Sheffield in United Kingdom while we could participate two tournaments in one European trip.
It was my first time to Czech. It was impressed me that the place here, Ostrava, was so quiet and neat. I loved it much. The tournament is organized well and in a very systematic way including the accommodation, meals, transport and competition time schedule arrangement. The best rested on all those sincere and dedicated volunteers. They would friendly take prompt action to solve your problem upon your requests.
It’s a pity that only the Park Inn suited chairbound players while Harmnony Hotel wasn’t. By the way, I needed to live separately with my coach and male team mate, who could not climb in the bath tub at Harmony Hotel and so changed to Park Inn. Despite negotiation, I could not move to Park Inn as it was full. Honestly speaking, I loved Harmony Hotel more as it provided me an intimate feeling within the warm atmosphere. The most important was that the internet here was free of charge while Park Inn charged six Euros a day.
Another impressing affair was that I was the first time to team up with the number one Chinese girl to play in Women’s Class 5 team event. Having such strong team, we undoubtedly captured the gold medal.
