Happy Birthday to my Chinese Coach, LIN Guang

Last Sunday, we celebrate my Chinese coach’s Birthday.

My Chinese coach, LIN Guang, is a talent in table tennis. He has strong fascination towards this sports. Being the top one of his provincial team,  he nearly entered the national team. But, as all we know, there’s many excellent players in China and it’s very competitive to grasp the chance to national team, very pity, he failed at last.

We met LIN in a table tennis club in Shenzhen of Mainland China. which was quite near Hong Kong. Having attracted by his good table tennis techniques and skills, we invited him to be my private coach. From July 2008 onwards, we started the 4-year training plan to Paralympic Game in London. Despite LIN had not taught disabled table tennis he tried his best to think how to teach a wheelchair table tennis player, which was quite different from an able-bodied player.

Up till now, we already worked together for nearly one and half year. Thanks so much he helped me succeed the first step – qualifed for the World Championship. But it’s only a very small step and we still have a long long road to go.
