Qualified for the 2010 World Championship

After gaining around 800 points in Copa Tango Cup in Buenos Aires, I am so sure that I have already qualified for the 2010 World Championship. It means great to me because  it is my main target in 2009.
With the tragic experiences in the past that I was just kicked out from the door of 2006 World Championship and 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, I worked very cautiously this time and had well planning for my participating tournaments this year.

To be familiar with the players around the world, I decided to join six to seven tournaments in three regions separately.

Firstly I chose to join three tournaments in Europe in the first half of year so as to get some basic points.

In the middle of the year, I was arranged by my Association to join two Asian tournaments. Due to the strong competitive Asian players, I captured few points in the Asian Regional Championship. Fortunately China did not go to Korean tournament which gave me a chance to get good points there.

At the end, I finished the points catching game by participating two tournaments in South American region which I considered to be easier to capture medals and get points. As expected, I captured one gold in single event and one silver medal in team event in the Copa Tango Tournament.

Thus finally my target was prematurely achieved before I went to Brazilian Open on 25 November 2009. I was so happy about that since without worriness of points I would have much less pressure in the Brazilian tournament while I would try my new learnt techniques and skills in the coming tournament.

Thanks to my private Chinese coach (the blue T-shirt one), LIN, who did lots of training for me and guided me by SMS throughout the tournaments.

Also thanks to my husband, Herman, who gave incredible support to me all years around.

Last but not least, thanks to my ownself who is so determined to achieve the 2009 target.
