My First Self-financed Table Tennis Tournament

Without support from the Association, I decide to self-finance myself to take part in the tournaments held at the end of 2007. Not aiming at 2008 Paralympic Games cause the plan is too late to make. Just to prove my ability to WIN in international games. So I become the first player in Hong Kong to join the competition all on my own except making the entry.

On 31.10.2007 midnight, I got off the 48-hours flight to Argentina alone. I did not go with KWONG for saving money in airfare. I took longer trip with cheaper flight price. Having well planning and enough readiness, the long journey was not so hard as imagined. I enjoyed the longest waitling time at Atlanta waiting for 12 hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to transfer to Argentina. The time passed quickly by shopping, eating, sleeping and reading. The few hours’ waiting time in Korea was an easy job. Admittedly I was at loss at times. I repeatedly thought why I was on this lonely way.

To concentrate on my competition, I dropped off all these emotional mood and just fought for the best.
