Flag Presentation Ceremony: So Painful!

On 23.10.2006, our Association held the Flag Presentation Ceremony for the FESPIC Games, which would be run at the end of November 2006. It was the first time and the last time I did not take part in it since its beginning in 1982 and its ending in 2006. FESPIC Games would be taken over by Asian Paralympic Games in 2010 in Guangzhou. There would be no more FESPIC Games in future.

I was so heartbroken that I was not selected for this Games because my place needed to be given to the newblood though my standard was still high. Being an executive member, I was invited to present at the Flag Presentation Ceremony. I also longed to meet some sports old friends. However, I did not want to force myself to face such tragedy. I was also worried about my bursting tears. I had once thought that I would be recovered from this matter very soon. But, it’s not true. I was still very painful when being touched with this matter. Thus, I chose to be ABSENT from this painful ceremony.
