My private coach, Leo

I got to know my coach, Leo, in mid-2005. He had been an assistant coach of Hong Kong Team. However, he left the team after a few months due to incompatible opinion with the Head Coach. I together with two teammates invited him to be our private coach afterwards as he was very dedicated in teaching us the table tennis skills.

Leo had coached us in the Sweden tournament in November 2005 and we achieved good results. It’s unfortunate that Hong Kong Team would not appoint him again as he became our private coach.

Leo is also a table tennis player and he still actively participates various competitions in Hong Kong. Being an athelete himself, he understands well what we players need and try his best to teach us, particularly playing on the wheelchair.

We might not able to his coaching continuously next year as we got no funding from our Hong Kong Team’s Association for long term support. What’s a pity!
